HIGHLIGHTS OF RAJASTHAN      

DELHI-AGRA-JAIPUR-JODHPUR-DEOGARH-UDAIPUR-BOMBAY

DAY 01 Arrive Delhi
Arrive New Delhi, the Indian Capital where you will be met at arrival and transferred to your hotel.  

Day 02 Delhi
After a relaxed morning, this afternoon’s sightseeing takes you to the Presidential Palace, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war and a drive along the Rajpath past the Parliament House and secretarial buildings. Visit Qutab Minar, the 12th century tower of victory built by a slave king and prototype of all minars (towers) in India. Also visit Humayun’s tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal.  Early evening visit the Laxminarayan Temple to see the evening Puja ceremony. Welcome Dinner at an Indian restaurant accompanied with ethnic folk dances & music.

Day 03  - Delhi
This morning, a visit to Old Delhi, the former Mughal Capital includes the majestic Red Fort, the vibrant bazaars of Chandni Chowk and the Jama Masjid mosque.  On your way back, visit the Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.

Afternoon is at leisure. In the evening you can choose to visit an Indian Family Home and your hosts will be happy to invite you for dinner and cocktails. Optionally, we would be happy to arrange for a visit to the theatre or music show of the day.

Day 04 Delhi –Agra
An early start today to the railway station to board the express train to Agra.  After checking in at your hotel, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal. India’s most famous world heritage monument was built by Shah Jahan for his beloved, Mumtaz Mahal in the 17th century.  Also visit the Agra Fort on the banks of the Yamuna. Return to see the Taj Mahal at sunset.

Day 05 Agra - Jaipur
After breakfast, this morning leave for Jaipur in a private chauffeur driven car.  Visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri enroute.

Afternoon sightseeing of Jaipur includes the City Palace known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Not far away is the Central Museum with its large collection of woodwork, jewellery, costumes, brassware, and pottery. Another monument near the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, is the largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. The Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds was constructed for the royal ladies to watch the royal processions without being seen.

Day 06 Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amber Fort, situated just outside the city, is perhaps the most beautiful examples of Rajasthani forts and gives a grand view of the city down below. You can have the unique experience of travelling on elephant back to and from the top of the hill on which the fort is situated. This afternoon is free to independently explore the crowded and colourful lanes of the pink city’s bazaars.

Day 07 Jaipur- Jodhpur
This morning leave for Jodhpur, which is famous for forts and palaces. Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Mandore Gardens, Old Fort Museum and Balsamand Lake are sights you will visit post lunch.

Day 08 Jodhpur-Deogarh
Drive to Deogarh Mahal, a fortified palace in the heart of the Deogarh village. The magnificent Deogarh Palace now functions as a heritage hotel. Gokal Vilas is the residence of present Rawat, who is also a well-known art historian. Enjoy the hospitality of the warm royal family. Visit the village to see village life and to the ruined Anjaneshwar Mahadev temple which is more than 2,000 years old

Day 09 Deogarh - Udaipur
Not very faraway is the city of lakes, palaces, museums, temples, and gardens. The City Palace and Museum is considered as the largest palace complex in Rajasthan and its museum has stunning collection of objects collected by different Maharanas of Udaipur over the centuries. Other sights that you will visit include Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon Ki Bari, Jag Mandir,and Ahar Museum.
Day 11 Udaipur – Bombay
The morning is at leisure to enjoy and relax in the city of lakes.
Later in the evening fly to Mumbai.

Day 12 Bombay
Morning sightseeing of Mumbai includes the Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum (closed on mondays), Crawford Market and Dhobi Talao.

Later in the day transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
