Delhi– Neemrana – Samode – Jaipur–  Bundi - Kota – Udaipur – Mumbai  (14 Days / 13 Nights)

Day 01        Arrive Delhi
Met on arrival and transfer to hotel.


Day 02        Delhi
Morning proceed for a sightseeing tour of the Old Delhi - a multi - layered city. Our first stop is the Red Fort built by the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan when he shifted his capital from Agra. A short drive brings us to the Great Mosque - The Jama Masjid. Drive on to see the memorial built for Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

Afternoon Sightseeing tour of New Delhi includes a visit to the Qutub Minar - the tallest stone tower in India built in 1191 AD. Chhatarpur Temple - the most popular Hindu temple with blissful tranquility and serene ambience. Continue to Humayun's Tomb believed to have been designed by his widow.  Its plan is based on the description of Islamic paradise gardens and is known to have inspired the Taj Mahal and many later Mughal tombs. Also visit the Bahai Temple - a lotus shaped structure. It is made of marble, cement, dolomite and sand. It is open to all faiths and is an ideal place for meditation and obtaining peace and tranquility.

Day 03        Neemrana
Morning check-out of the hotel and drive to Neemrana. Arrive Neemrana and check-in at Neemrana Fort. Neemrana Fort was built in the 15th century and the old world charm is still not lost on the fort which has been converted into a beautiful hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the fort and the village. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04        Neemrana
Full day painting session. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05        Neemrana – Samode (Drive:
Check-out of the hotel and drive to Samode. Arrive and check-in at Samode Palace a beautiful Palace famous for its intricate drawings which adorns the walls of the palace. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the Palace.

Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.



Day 06        Samode
Full day painting session. Overnight at the hotel

Day 07        Samode - Jaipur
Morning check-out of the hotel and drive to Jaipur. Arrive and check-in at the hotel.

Later in the day city tour of Jaipur and visit The City Palace which is a visitors delight. Within the walls are several Palaces and museums resplendent with collections of the princely era, the Jantar Mantar an outdoor observatory built in 1726 by Jai Singh, a notable astronomer King. It houses instruments of astronomy with astonishing accuracy, which give accurate predictions to this day. Drive to the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal), a five story high Palace having a facade of windows and latticed screens which allowed the Ladies of the Court, in bygone days, to sit and view the streets of the city.

Day 08        Jaipur
Morning excursion to the Amber Fort which is perched on a hill.  An Elephant transports us inside the fort which houses a Marble Palace, Temple of Victory and a Hall of Mirrors.  Afternoon painting session.

Evening at leisure to explore the local market. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09        Jaipur - Bundi
Morning check-out of the hotel and drive to Bundi -  In 1193 A.D. when Prithviraj Chauhan was defeated by Sultan Mohammed Ghauri, some Chauhan nobles seeked shelter in Mewar and became allies to the Rana while other young warriors move towards the Chambal valley and overpowered the Meena and Bhil tribals-thus establishing their own kingdom of Hadoti. Later, two branches of Hadas formed two separates states of Kota and Bundi, on either side of the river Chambal.

Bundi is surrounded by the Aravalli hills on the three sides and is circumscribed by a massive wall with four gateways.
Interesting monuments including impressive medieval forts, palaces, havelis, temples with beautiful stone idols and chattris with carved pillars, along with a picturesque lake in the heart of the town, add to its charm. Bundi is very famous for its intricate carvings and murals.
The town nestles at the foot of a large rocky hills, dominated by Taragarh Fort and Garh Palace, lavishly decorated with the finest murals in the history of Rajput Art. Painted in the Hara style of the Kota-Bundi school of miniatures in characteristic shades of blue, green and maroon, they reflect the verdant greenery of the region. An art connoisseur can spend days in Bundi for these paintings alone.
Bundi is a town of numerous ornate Baoris(step-wells) dating back to the 17th century. Raniji ki Baori with its exquisite toran archway is one of the loveliest.

Day 10        Bundi
Full day painting session. Overnight at the hotel.




Day 11        Bundi - Udaipur
Morning check-out of the hotel and drive to Udaipur. Arrive Udaipur and check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 12        Udaipur
Morning proceed for a sightseeing tour of the Udaipur city visiting the City Palace - A majestic architectural marvel towering over the lake on a hill surrounded by crenelated walls. It is a conglomeration of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens.
        
Jagdish Temple - Built in 1651 AD. By Maharana Jagat Singh. This Indo-Aryan temple is the largest and the most beautiful temple of Udaipur with noteworthy sculpted images.

Sahelion-ki-Bari - (Garden of the Maids of Honour) This small ornamental garden was a popular relaxing spot where royal ladies came for a scroll and hence the name. The garden has many fountains in its fourdelightful pools, chiseled kiosks and marble elephants.
 
Afternoon Boat ride on Lake Pichola, a picturesque lake that entranced Maharana Udai Singh. It was later enlarged by the founder.The lake is surrounded by hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. Two island palaces, Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) on the lake are of breathtaking magnificence.

Evening at leisure to explore the local market. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13        Udaipur – Mumbai
        (9W 709 – 0820 / 0935 hrs)
Check-out of the hotel and transfer to the airport in time to board flight for Mumbai. Assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel.

The city’s long association with the British is reflected in the old world charm of its buildings made in the Indo-Saracen style. Some of the well-known landmarks are the Gateway of India at Apollo Bunder overlooking the harbor.

Half day city tour of Mumbai will include a visit to the Prince of Wales Museum, Marine drive, Mani Bhawan (Gandhi House), Flora Fountain, Kamla Nehru Park and finally to the Hanging gardens.

Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 14        Leave Mumbai
Check-out of the hotel and transfer to the International airport in time to board flight for onward destination.
