This tour invites both the first time visitors and those who want to see a bit more of Rajasthan. A combination of Palaces and wild life will give you a rich experience. Highlights include a stay with the royal family of Deogarh and the not oft frequented Kota. Tiger sighting and bird watching may be additional thrills. You will see the beauty of taj at sunset and sunrise. Other exclusives include a visit to the prayer ceremony at a Hindu Temple in Delhi; Rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi and a cultural evening with Indian folk dances.
JEWELS OF INFORMATION
In Rajasthan, male members of a family wear turbans. Each community has different colours & style of wearing it and it usually denotes a certain caste.
Bundi & Kota Paintings – these states produced outstanding miniature paintings and their styles became renowned for court scenes & hunting scenes respectively.
DAY 01 Arrive Delhi
Arrive New Delhi, the Indian Capital where you will be met at arrival and transferred to your hotel.
Day 02 Delhi
Morning is at Leisure. Afternoon’s sightseeing takes you to the buildings in New Delhi including the Presidential Palace, India Gate, Rajpath, Parliament House and secretarial buildings. Visit Qutab Minar and Humayun’s tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal.
Early evening visit the Laxminarayan Temple to see the evening Puja ceremony.
Welcome Dinner at an Indian restaurant accompanied with ethnic folk dances & music.
Day 03 - Delhi
This morning, a visit to Old Delhi, includes the majestic Red Fort, the vibrant bazaars of Chandni Chowk and the Jama Masjid mosque. On your way back, visit the Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.
Afternoon is at leisure. In the evening you can choose to visit an Indian Family Home and your hosts will be happy to invite you for dinner and cocktails. Optionally, we would be happy to arrange for a visit to the theatre or music show of the day.
Day 04 Delhi –Agra
Drive to Agra this morning. After a leisurely lunch at the hotel, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal. Also visit the Agra Fort on the banks of the Yamuna. Return to see the Taj Mahal at sunset.
Day 05 Agra - Jaipur
After breakfast, this morning leave for Jaipur visiting the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Optional visit to Bharatpur is recommended for bird enthusiasts. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the colourful bazaars of Jaipur.
Day 06 Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amber Fort climbed on elephant back, situated just outside the city. Afternoon sightseeing of Jaipur includes the City Palace known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Also visit Jantar Mantar and the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds
Day 07 Jaipur- Ranthambore
Arrive Ranthambore this afternoon after a leisurely start this morning. Game viewing post lunch may encounter you to the king of these jungles, the tiger.
Day 08 Ranthambore
Morning and afternoon is spent in the Tiger Reserve game viewing, with only a short retreat to the resort for lunch.
Day 09 Ranthambore - Kota
This morning drive to Kota. In the afternoon visit the City Palace and the museum with one of the finest collections in Rajasthan.
Day 10 Kota - Udaipur
Visit Bundi’s Taragarh Fort and the palace enroute to Udaipur today. Your evening is at leisure in Udaipur.
Day 11 Udaipur
Morning visit the sights of Udaipur and evening enjoy a boat ride on the Lake Pichola.
Day 12 Udaipur - Deogarh
A short drive in the morning will take you to the quaint town of Deogarh where you enjoy the royal family’s hospitality. Visit the local village and the Palace in the evening.
Day 13 Deogarh – Jodhpur
Visit Ranakpur temples enroute to Jodhpur this morning. Afternoon sightseeing includes Jasawant Thada and Mehrangarh Fort.
Day 14 Jodhpur – Delhi
In the afternoon fly back to Delhi. The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities and last minute shopping.
Day 15 Leave Delhi
In time transfer to the airport for your departure flight for onward destination.
