The valley of Kashmir was called paradise by the great Mughal emperors. Srinagar, its capital, is even today the summer capital of the government of Jammu and Kashmir.
It is a city of lakes, waterways, gardens and beautiful landscapes. The city also has a lot of old mosques built of wood in geometric patterns and look more like pagodas. The chinar (maple) and deodar trees lines along roadsides to give the city its typical image. The kashmiri handicrafts offer a wide range of gift items like papier mache boxes, silk scarves, woolen shawls with chain stitch embroidery, fine woodcarving on walnut wood items. . Gulmarg is 53 Kms from Srinagar at an altitude of 8700-ft. also referred as Meadow of Flowers is a famous Ski Resort & the world’s highest 18 hole Golf Course. The place was prominent during the British time. Enjoy the scenic view of Kongdori on a Cable Car Ride (Gondola). Your stay in Srinagar is at the shikara (houseboat) which dot the dal lake. The Delhi sights include the Presidential Palace, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war and a drive along the Rajpath past the Parliament House and secretarial buildings. Visit Qutab Minar, the 12th century tower of victory built by a slave king and prototype of all minars (towers) in India. Red Fort and the Jama Masjid mosque in Old Delhi.

Saffron, the most expensive spice in the world is grown in the Kashmir valley. The saffron flower is purple in colour and its anthers make saffrom. The red-yellow anthers are harvested by hands and over 4500 blooms will produce an ounce of saffron. It is sometimes more expensive than gold. The spice is used for delicately flavouring mughal & north Indian dishes.
DAY 01 Arrive Delhi
Arrive New Delhi, the Indian Capital where you will be met at arrival and transferred to your hotel.
Day 02 Delhi
Morning is at Leisure. Afternoon’s sightseeing takes you to the sights of New and Old Delhi. Welcome Dinner at an Indian restaurant accompanied with ethnic folk dances & music.
Day 03 - Delhi – Agra - Delhi
Full day excursion to Agra where you see the famous Taj Mahal and other sights.
Day 04 Delhi – Srinagar
Fly to Srinagar this morning. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 05 Srinagar
Morning Sightseeing tour of city including Old Mughal Fort of 17th Century now an arsenal & the Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosque built around 14th Century. Afternoon tour of the Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat & Shalimar. Dinner & overnight stay at the House Boat
Day 06 Srinagar
Full Day excursion to Gulmarg with picnic lunch.
Day 06 Srinagar– Delhi
Morning is at leisure. Fly back to Delhi this afternoon.
Day 07 Leave Delhi
In time transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
