Delhi – Guwahati – Shillong – Kaziranga – Dibrugarh – Delhi (14 Days / 13 Nights)
Day 01 Arrive Delhi
Met on arrival and transfer to hotel.
Day 02 Delhi
Morning proceed for a sightseeing tour of the Old Delhi - a multi - layered city. Our first stop is the Red Fort built by the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan when he shifted his capital from Agra. A short drive brings us to the Great Mosque - The Jama Masjid. Drive on to see the memorial built for Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
Afternoon Sightseeing tour of New Delhi includes a visit to the Qutub Minar - the tallest stone tower in India built in 1191 AD. Chhatarpur Temple - the most popular Hindu temple with blissful tranquility and serene ambience. Continue to Humayun's Tomb believed to have been designed by his widow. Its plan is based on the description of Islamic paradise gardens and is known to have inspired the Taj Mahal and many later Mughal tombs. Also visit the Bahai Temple - a lotus shaped structure. It is made of marble, cement, dolomite and sand. It is open to all faiths and is an ideal place for meditation and obtaining peace and tranquility.

Day 03 Delhi – Agra – Delhi
(Drive: 205 km / 4 hrs)
Morning check-out of the hotel and proceed for the city sightseeing tour of Agra city visiting Taj Mahal - built by a grief-stricken emperor, Shah Jahan, as a memorial of eternal love for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, Agra Fort which perhaps offers the most moving view of the Taj Mahal from its octagonal tower situated across the River Jamuna.
Later in the day return to Delhi via Sikandra – Emperor Akbar’s tomb at Sikandra is a magnificent gateway, covered with floral and geometrical arabesque decoration in white and colored marble. Four elegant Minarets surround the tomb.
Day 04 Delhi – Guwahati
(S2 111 – 1000 / 1215 hrs)
Morning check-out of the hotel and transfer to the airport in time to board your flight for Guwahati. Assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Later in the day visit Kamkhaya Temple and Navagraha Temple. Evening boat cruises in River Brahmaputra and visit Srimantha Sankardeva Kala Kshetra.
Evening at leisure to explore the local market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 Guwahati – Shilllong (Drive: 100 km / 3 hrs)
Morning check-out of the hotel and drive to Shillong. Shillong - Nestled among hills, Shillong the capital of Meghalaya, looks like a cluster of red roofs from the sky. This picturesque city throbs with life from dawn to dusk. Narrow hill roads skirted by tall pine trees are lined with cottages made of wood. Shillong is blessed with temperate climate all year long, which makes it an ideal holiday destination. Although modernization has taken its toll and traffic jams are the order of the day, this is an ideal place to unwind amidst simplicity and natural beauty.
Arrive and check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the local market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 Shillong– Cherapunjee – Mawsynram – Shillong (Drive: 56 km / 1 ½ hrs)
Morning proceed for a full day excursion to Cherapunjee and Mawsynram .
Cherapunjee has a network of limestone caves, the ends of which have not yet been explored. Mawsynram is known as the place that receives the World’s heaviest rainfall, its major attraction is a picturesque cave of vast and unexplored depth, featuring a giant stalagmite in the shape of a natural Shivalinga.

Day 07 Shillong – Jaintia Hills- Shillong
Morning drive towards Jowai and full day excursion to Jaintia Tribal villages in Jaintia hills.
Evening return to Shillong. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 Shillong – Kaziranga (296 km / 7 hrs)
Morning check-out of the hotel and drive to Kaziranga National Park - In the heart of Assam, this park is one of the last areas in eastern India undisturbed by a human presence. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds.
Arrive Kaziranga and check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 Kaziranga
Morning proceed for an Elephant Safari into the National Park. Later in the day proceed for a Jeep Safari.
Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 Kaziranga – Jorhat – Majuli Island
Morning check-out of the hotel and drive to Nemati via Jorhat towards Ghat and by Steamer reach Majuli - Majuli, the largest river island in the world, is a civil sub-division of Jorhat District. It is located 20 km. off Jorhat town. It is a pollution free fresh water island. Total area of the island was 1250 sq.km., now it is about 650 sq.km. Its length from east to west is about 90 km. & width from north to south is avg. 16 km. Majuli is a natural & cultural heritage site. With water bodies covering most of the areas , Majuli attracts plenty of birds both local & migratory. About 25—26 Satras are remaining now in Majuli of which the Satras of Kamalabari, Auniati & Garmur are worth mentioning. These Satras are propagating the religious ideology of great Assamese medieval Vaisnavite Saint Sankardeva & Madhavdeva, preaching Satria culture.

Day 11 Majuli Island
Full day visit famous Satras of Vaishnava culture of Hindus and Mishing tribal villages.

Day 12 Majuli Island– Jorhat - Dibrugarh
Morning check-out of the hotel and drive to Dibrugarh - Dibrugarh which is the headquarter of the district derived its name from Dibarumukh. The name derived from the mouth(mukh) of the river Dibaru or Dibru(Bodo word dibru,a blister) during the reign of Siuhungmung, Pharsengmung Borgohain, Chao Siulung, Kilong fought against the chetia king who was defeated in the battle and surrendered before the Ahom King. Dibarumukh was a renonwed encampment of Ahoms during Ahom Chutia War. Earlier Dibrugarh was the District HQ of undivided Lakhimpur District.But now Dibrugarh is a separate district having its own identity with the District HQ still in Dibrugarh town itself.

Day 13 Dibrugarh
Morning visit Rukmini Island – a beach Island, is an exclusive pearl, located on the Southern fringe of the mythological Vidarbha, 11 km upstream from Dibrugarh in the midst of the great Brahmaputra. ‘The son of Brahmaputra’-the creator. Rukmini is 2.5 km by 1.3 km with lovely sand beaches and a crystal blue water channel into the Island with beautiful migratory birds frequenting it. Rukmini is a nature lover cum adventure’s exclusive retreat with a beautiful view of the outer Himalayas of Arunachal.

Day 14 Dibrugarh – Delhi Departure
